A LITTLE ABOUT OUR HISTORY
1580
THE BEGINNING
The origins of the spa cannot be clearly determined historically, but the first mention of this treasure can be found in the church annals. Namely as "a very famous spa" from the year 1580. Since then there have been several reports, pictures, postcards, stories, memories. Many people know this place, which has become increasingly important over the course of history. The heyday was around the turn of the century - so the story goes. At that time, the Viennese nobility liked to come to Bad Jungbrunn to bathe and heal, similar to Bad Ischl and Baden near Vienna.
1930
THE FIRST RENOVATION
The war interrupted this wonderful development and proved fatal. The completion of the planned major reconstruction was interrupted by the arrival of the Todt or Speer Organization, which was primarily used for war construction in the areas occupied by Germany. Hungarians and Cossacks took turns until this place finally became a prison camp. Devastation, suffering and hunger characterized the image of the time.
1970
place of hospitality
In 1961, the Reiter family took on the task of redeveloping the charming Waldhotel Bad Jungbrunn into a wonderful place of hospitality, and after around 48 years we are now allowed to continue this task. This is our future: peace, determination, restraint and faith give us the strength for new projects that are already on the horizon.
2000
THE COMPLETION
Lao Tzu wrote more than 2,500 years ago: "Nothing in the world is softer and more yielding than water, and yet there is nothing like water to conquer the rigid and hard. The soft overcomes the hard, the weak overcomes the strong." And so the fountain of youth water will once again make its way through history.
